Minister Biography

H.E. Mohamed Bare Mohamud is an entrepreneur and sports industry professional with more than a decade long career in business start-ups, entrepreneurship, establishing and promoting youth sports facilities in Somalia and overseas, as well as management, institutional building, coordination, communication, and public engagement.

H.E. Mohamed has been a prominent figure of the Somali community in Uganda with a proven track record in community mobilization and youth empowerment by creating and leveraging strengthened partnerships and with a wide spectrum of stakeholder including governmental and non-governmental entities.

At the backdrop of his experience, H.E. Mohamed was elected into the 11th Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia 31st January 2022 and has been soon after nominated as the Minister of Youth and Sports.
