H.E. Minister Mohamed Abdullqadir Ali, together with the leadership team of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, welcomed the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Somalia and Head of UNSOM, Mr. James Swan, accompanied by Mr. Obinna Okamgba, Special Assistant, and Mr. Vikram Parekh, Head of Political Affairs.

Joining the Minister were Deputy Minister H.E. Dahabo Susow Mohamed and the Director General, Mr. Jamal Cabdulaahi Mohamed.

The meeting highlighted the presentation of the Somali Youth Political Strategy 2023–2030, which places young people at the heart of Somalia’s peacebuilding, good governance, climate action, and national development efforts.

Discussions centered on reinforcing collaboration between the Ministry and the United Nations to ensure coherence with Somalia’s political agenda and to expand initiatives that uplift and empower Somali youth.
